Dulles South Base Camp ♥ Ages 9-12 This week-long camp features a structured environment of fun activities throughout the day. Activities include climbing the climbing wall, swimming in our pools, games, arts and crafts, sports in the gym, and nature walks. Campers will be outside each day, please supply sunscreen and a swimsuit and/or extra pair of clothes. Campers will get wet! This camp may have some walking field trips to local areas. We stay onsite two days of the week, typically Monday and Thursday. On these days, the kids will go swimming in our leisure pool and play outside in our back meadow. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the campers will leave the site and explore the wild side of Northern Virginia. We will change the locations week-to-week, picking various parks like the Beaverdam Reservoir, the Shenandoah National Park, and Sugarloaf Mountain. Hikes will never be too strenuous, and they typically range from 1-5 miles. On Wednesdays the campers will visit King’s Dominion and spend the day riding roller coasters or swimming at the water park. On trip days, the campers will leave the site by 9:00am at the latest and will not return to site before 4:30pm. Especially on King’s Dominion days, expect campers to get back onsite around 5:30pm. ELEMENTARY AGE Dulles South Base Jr. Camp ♥ Ages 6-8 This week-long camp is a Junior version of our Base Camp program, offering a structured day filled with engaging and age-appropriate activities. Junior campers will participate in the same activities as regular Base Camp, including climbing on the climbing wall, swimming in the pools, games, arts and crafts, gym sports, and nature walks. However, they will have staggered times to keep age groups separate. Campers will spend time outdoors each day, so please provide sunscreen, a swimsuit, and an extra change of clothes. Campers should expect to get wet! This camp may also include short walking field trips to nearby locations. A non-refundable $25 deposit is due at registration. Full payment is required three weeks prior to the start of camp.
