In Loudoun County the eclipse peaks around 3:15pm, starts at 2:00pm and ends at 4:30pm. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes be- tween the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk. On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America! The next total solar eclipse will be 2044! Join us at LVCC for a fun viewing party! The eclipse will start at 2:00pm and peaks at 3:15pm. Don’t miss this special event. We will provide all participants with solar eclipse glasses. Please note that glasses are one size fits all, limited supply avail- able. You must register by March 18 to guarantee glasses. Please take precautions for children under the age of 7, parental supervision is required and recommended for the safety of all participant’s eyes.
