2025 Spring Activity Guide

Spring, a season of growth following preparation, is a time to look for what is new. Join your Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services to explore new recreational Spring2025

experiences and opportunities as we continue to grow along with Loudoun County. Following a year of successful and unique events, such as

Steve Torpy

county-wide solar eclipse programs and annual celebrations like Independence Day festivities, the International Festival, Pueblo Unido Day, Food Truck Festival, Douglass Legacy Day, the inaugural WinterFest, and LoCo Kids Fest, we are committed to expanding our offerings for you and your family. We also received statewide awards for the Douglass Community Center Playground and The Lodge at Hanson Park, both of which were recognized by the Virginia Recreation and Park Society with Best New Facility awards in their respective categories. This summer, PRCS will grow even more with the opening of the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center, which will provide the programs and opportunities we strive to offer everyone. Our efforts continue with the designs of a new community park adjacent to Lightridge High School and the Western Loudoun Recreation Complex. The Western Loudoun Recreation Complex will feature a recreation center and multiple athletic fields within its park.

As we look ahead to 2025, innovation will remain a key focus for connecting you to recreational experiences through PRCS.

Warmest regards,

Steve Torpy, Director
