A pathway through the woods, bags packed for vacation, fisherman on the docks, a bee searching a flower – we are interested in the search, the pursuit. In addition to 24 redesigned clocks, there will be artwork with the theme of clocks or depicts the passing of time. Sunrises, sunsets, a race against time, a clock shop, or a garden sundial. How do you interpret the passing of time? This exhibit is sponsored by the Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center and will award cash prizes. Ages 21+ Artists can further develop their skills in sketching the human form. With some guidance from instructor and professional artist Carmen Barros Howell, participants will sketch both short and long poses. Bring your own supplies; a limited number of easels will be provided, and tables/ chairs will be set up for those not able to use an easel. Class is limited to 9 students. As we celebrate summer, we invite you to visit the arts center, view the art exhibit hanging in our gallery, and then create your own sunny, bright masterpiece.
