EVENTS Open Fishing Day at Hal & Berni Hanson Regional Park No license? No problem! Join us as we travel to Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park for a day of fishing. An instructor will give us fishing tips and lead us to the best spots. No license or personal fishing equipment necessary. Fee includes transportation, equipment and lunch. M 10:00-11:00am 6/22 Free 444623-01 Painting with Plants: Botanical Dye Workshop Unleash your creativity during a visit to Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve on National Senior Citizen’s Day. Participants will explore how plants can be used to create beautiful natural dyes through a hands- on indoor workshop. You’ll experiment with botanical dye techniques and craft your own hand-dyed tea towel to take home as a unique reminder of the day. Participants will walk on a gravel path, so please wear proper walking shoes. Registration is available on-line or in person. Membership at one of the Loudoun County senior centers is required. SENIOR MEMBERSHIP Ages 55+: Senior participants may purchase twelve-month memberships or attend on a drop-in basis. The cost of many activities is included in the membership or drop-in fee. Any additional fees will be noted in the activity listing. Please note some activities are not open for drop-ins. Memberships are processed Monday-Friday between 9:00am-2:00pm. Membership fee: $36 resident, $54 non-resident, $3 drop-in fee. ARTS & MUSIC Drawing Learn the basics of drawing with Michelle. All materials supplied, no previous experience required.
