Naturalist. Learn drawing techniques including color blending, shading, and perspective while practicing your plein-air sketch skills on the trail. We’ll set out on an easy 1-2 mile walk in search of hopping, bounding, waddling, and zig-zagging track makers. Hikers will learn beginner tips & tricks to identify animal tracks and leave with their own pocket guide of prints. Learn the story of the “Three Sisters”—corn, beans, and squash—and how Native Americans like the Iroquois grew and used these special crops right here in our region. Then, create your own tasty foil packet meal with your choice of vegetarian ingredients and enjoy campfire cooking together! Register individually (Section-01) or as a family of up to 6 (Section-02). Ages 2-6 Join us for experiential learning and hands-on fun outdoors! Every first Thursday of the month we explore a different nature theme through a short hike and outdoor craft.
