Overtime Athletics 3v3 Basketball League Ages 6-12 Join one of the fastest growing ways to play basketball, as seen in the FIBA World Championships and Olympics with Overtime Athletics! Each class will showcase the fundamentals and quick thinking of your player in 3v3 games. Each player will focus on strengthening their offensive and defensive skills and will need to rely on their own instincts and abilities. Teams will meet each Saturday for 1.5 hours, with 30 minutes devoted to practicing and then 1 hour for game play. Divisions will be based on age and each team’s schedule will be sent out with their specific game times closer to the start date. Registration includes an NFL Flag belt, a reversible NFL Flag team jersey, and a pair of reversible NFL Flag team shorts. Each session will be very intense and is designed as a skills training program to provide a combination of basketball skill work and agility/speed training. Players will work on attacking the basket, scoring, and defense. They will also spend time on stretching, footwork, speed, agility, and endurance. Each P.S.I.T workout will be a tough session with very limited down time and is designed to challenge every player who attends. Giant Basketball 5v5 Fall League Ages 6-12 Join us for former Washington Wizards player Gheorghe Muresan’s 5v5 basketball league. This league emphasizes fundamental skill development while creating a fun team play environment. Games will start on September 28. We will have an evaluation day the Saturday prior to the first game to ensure we create well balanced teams. Practices will be located at Legacy ES, Goshen Post ES, and Hillside ES. All games will be held at Brambleton MS on Saturday, September 14. Team and practice locations will be sent out on Sunday, September 15. The members of the LCHS team, along with the coaches, will be instructing this clinic. We have All-District, All-Region and All-State players on our squad, as well as former Hammers Field Hockey recreation players. Participants will receive a free ticket to the final home field hockey game against John Champe High School on Thursday, October 24. Participants will need to bring shin guards, mouth guard and a stick. Each class focuses on developing coordination, balance, basic soccer skills and most importantly, FUN! Our coaching staff will lead your child through soccer skills, drills and games with an emphasis on teamwork and movement skills. While there are no preset teams and game schedules, your child will work toward participating in friendly and competitive games at the end of each meeting. Little Kickers is the perfect starting spot for those new to the game, or looking to build confidence before playing competitively.
