Ages 2.5-5 You and your child will join Ms. Kathi and other families in the great outdoors this spring! Using the Tinkergarten curriculum, your child will develop language, strategies, and habits that build strong bodies, minds, and hearts while enjoying all that Mother Nature has to offer. This class shall be held outside so you and your child should come prepared for all weather conditions. This class does require parent or guardian participation. What are animals doing during dawn and dusk? Who is awake and active? We will learn about the local animals through a hands-on program which we will follow with a short hike/walk to try and see what signs of life we might be able to discover. This program will culminate with a stop by a campfire overlooking the Franklin Park Pond with some smores and hot chocolate! Come on out for a fun program where you will get to learn about the types of species found on the property, go on a hunt for tracks, and learn how you can plaster cast tracks that you find when exploring! Lovettsville Community Park Fishing Derby All Ages Summer is over, but the fishing is always on! Anglers of all ages are invited to cast in their lines at the 2nd Lovettsville Community Park Fishing Derby. Bring your whole family and prepare for a whopper of a good time. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone over the age of 16 must have a Virginia freshwater fishing license. No trout license is needed. Prizes will be awarded for the 1st fish caught, longest fish caught, and the heaviest fish caught. Enjoy the Fairy Folk Pumpkin trail during the day but beware as the sun sets the fairy folk become restless, and the trail will transform into a pathway fit for haunting. The dog costume party will take place at 2:00pm at the dog park. Horse and rider costume party at 5:00pm at the Equestrian Arena. Pet Expo All Ages Join us for an animal and family friendly community event at Franklin Park! Animal lovers will have a host of activities to enjoy with food trucks, live animal exhibits, petting zoo, pony rides, and much more. The event supports local pet/animal businesses and boasts over forty vendors ranging from rescues to pet paintings. Please bring a pet item or pet food to donate. Donations are given directly to local cat and dog rescue groups that participate in the event. Su 10:00am-4:00pm 9/8 Free 162707-01 Dog Splash Party All Ages & Breeds The water will be treated to be safe for furry friends. Only behaved dogs will be permitted in the water, no humans please. Bordetella, Rabies and Distemper required and bring records to pool on event day. Dogs must have valid tags and collars on. Cost is $5 per adult 16+ and each may bring up to 2 dogs.

ART & MUSIC Paper Bag Journal & Bookmaking Ages 9+ Come join us for this 2-part crafting class and learn how to make your own homemade journals.
