2024 Fall Activity Guide

Fall 2024 Fall, a season of change and self-reflection is a wonderful time to try something new with your Department of Loudoun County Parks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS). Throughout this Activity Guide you will find programs to connect your interests and our community, from healthy recreation programs to mentally nourishing art courses.

This past June we celebrated Play All Day VA, a statewide initiative for parks and recreation departments in Virginia. Thank you to all who joined us across Loudoun County, to experience the joy of free, fun programs at our parks and aquatic, senior, recreation, and community centers. Play All Day VA was a testament to the diverse range of programs and activities at PRCS. From sports to the arts, we had something for everyone. With over 4,050 managed park acres, 60+ miles of trails, and multiple recreation facilities, we’ve created beautiful spaces for you to enjoy this fall and connect with our exceptional people, parks, and programs. Our efforts continue to improve and create new spaces that maintain our standard of excellence, and work to make Loudoun the community of choice through outstanding experiences. Construction continues on the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center, slated to open in the Summer of 2025, and planning moves forward for the Western Loudoun Recreation Complex, and the future Dulles South Community Park. Connecting our facilities and expanding the county’s trail system remains a priority through the planned Linear Parks and Trails System. We recently celebrated the opening of the trails at Goose Creek Pointe Park. Accessed at the trailhead at nearby Edgar Tillett Memorial Park, the total out-and-back loop includes 3.25 miles of trails, traversing through three different parks.

As we enjoy the changing of the leaves this season, we hope that you will walk, play, create and grow with us, your PRCS.

Warmest regards,
