Healthy For Life Ages 55+ Enjoy this full body workout with a range of options available for all abilities. Class will include a light aerobic warm up, full body light dumbbell/bodyweight exercises and stretches. This class will have functional fitness to accommodate all fitness levels. Class will be standing or seated, no floor work. Class is geared toward an older adult looking to add fitness into their daily life but also have some mobility issues, including arthritis or difficulty getting on the ground. Sculpt & Tone This full-body workout incorporates resistance training using free weights, resistance bands, and your own body weight to sculpt and tone long, lean muscles. This class is paired with fun, upbeat music to elevate your heart rate and keep your body burning calories throughout the day! Strength For Seniors Ages 55+ This total body workout is a great way for seniors to get started with strength training. The exercises focus on building total body strength with an emphasis on improving balance, stability and flexibility. Total Body Tone Whether you are just starting out, want to maintain or improve your fitness level, this 60 minute class will help you achieve your goals. Through an intentional body warm up we will then work each muscle group and core using light to medium weights, bands or body weight. The workout will ramp up your heart rate intermittently to improve endurance and stamina. The circuit training style has a fun and active pace designed for you to work at your pace while building your strength and skills to the next level. Vinyasa Yoga This is a dynamic, Vinyasa yoga-based class. You will connect movement to breath, actively flowing through sun salutations and a variety of standing and balancing postures, followed by deeper stretches and other floor work. Modifications will be offered to make the class accessible to people from a range of experience levels. Expect to feel energized and refreshed after class! Yoga Join this one hour flow style yoga class. All levels are welcome. In this practice you will find yourself breathing and moving in various positions to release and expand your body and your mind. After this practice you will feel completely centered and relaxed.

FITNESS Fitness & Fun

Ages 18+ Fitness and Fun Program for individuals with disabilities. During this 45 minute class, we work on motor skills, balance, strength and core for the participants and their care givers. We do this through stretching, dance, weights and non-contact boxing. GROUP EXERCISE The following exercise classes are included with a LOVCC FitPass ($75 for 10 visits) or $9 Drop in. Please email lovcc@loudoun.gov or check Facebook @LovettsvilleCC for the updated monthly schedule. All class participants should wear athletic clothing, bring a water bottle and a yoga mat. Sneakers are required for participation in all classes except yoga. All of the programs listed below are for ages 16+ unless otherwise noted. Cardio Pop This class fuses fun dance cardio with a hot pop playlist to get you burning calories and building muscle. This class mixes aerobics, rhythmic kickboxing, and HIlT movement—and we add on strength work and stretch at the end for a full-body workout. Bring your mat to class! No dance experience is required and all impact and intensity levels are welcome. Chair Yoga Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support. Benefits include increased flexibility, balance and there is a strong focus on building overall strength. Core and More Improve your posture and build core muscle groups through a variety of exercises designed to strengthen your abdomen and back muscles while increasing your flexibility. Ages 12-15 This 60-minute class (no workout involved) will teach your young adult what they need to know to work out at Lovettsville Community Center without a parent/guardian. Call the center at 540-822-5284 to schedule a class.

EVENTS & TRIPS Letters To Santa

All Ages Do you want your child to receive a special letter from Santa? Register using activity #202712-01 and bring your child to drop off their letter in the special mailbox in the Lovettsville Community Center’s lobby! Letters will be collected November 10 through December 12 and mailed out on December 17 (please be sure that your return address is accurate). If the child’s handwriting is tough to read be sure that you leave a special note for Santa deciphering it! We have letter prompts by the Santa mailbox if needed.
