OCTOBERFEST Join the fun and merriment of this annual celebration. Check your monthly news- letter for the Friday, September 29 details of this musical extravaganza. Indoor event this year! HAUNTED HAYRIDE, PICNIC & BONFIRE AT BANSHEE REEKS NATURE PRESERVE Bus to Banshee Reeks departs at 10:15am. PARTICIPANTS Adult Day Centers are open Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm to provide a safe, social and interactive environment for seniors with cognitive and/or physical dis- abilities who are unable to be home alone safely. Activities and services, designed to elicit success and enjoyment, include art and music therapy, individualized ex- ercise, mentally stimulating games, assistance with personal needs, medication management, nutritious hot lunches and snacks, and health monitoring. Limited transportation is available to some areas. Fees are based on a sliding scale. CAREGIVERS Adult Day Centers provide respite for those needing support and time away from caregiving. Caregiver and early stage support groups are available to provide guid- ance, companionship, and resources. For more information on support groups, call 703-777-0257 or email aaasupport@loudoun.gov.
