SPECIAL EVENTS AT CASCADES SENIOR CENTER

ARTS & CRAFTS

HEATH & WELLNESS MONTH Celebrate health and wellness month with special presentations and classes all centered around health and wellness. Pick up a passport at the beginning of the month. Each health and wellness class or presentation that is attended, a stamp is added to the passport. Chances to win prizes! This will be taking place all throughout the month of September. NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with performances and presentations honoring Hispanic heritage. This will take place during Hispanic Heritage month. 9/15-10/15

CERAMICS HAND-BUILDING Create your own hand-built art using ceramic studio’s slab roller, forms, and tools. Kiln fire and glaze using studio supplies. Free M-F ongoing 9:00am-5:00pm SEWING For the beginner level. Sewing machine provided. Bring in your sewing project. Assistance provided by Carol. Free M, F ongoing 9:00am-12:00pm STITCH ’N B Sew, knit, crochet, and needlework. Make new friends and share ideas. Assistance provided by Carol. Free M, F ongoing 9:00am-12:00pm ADULT COLORING Please come join the adult coloring for a relaxing and fun time. All supplies are provided. INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY A special presentation about Indigenous People’s Day. TBA

HALLOWEEN PARTY Dress up in a Halloween costume and dance to music provided by DJ Sky. Light refreshments will be provided. SENIOR MEMBERSHIP (Ages 55 & up) Senior participants may purchase twelve-month memberships or attend on a drop-in basis. The cost of many activities is included in the mem- bership or drop-in fee. Any additional fees will be noted in the activity listing. Please note some activities are not open for drop-ins. Memberships are processed Monday-Friday between 9:00am-2:00pm. Membership fee: $36 resident, $54 non-resident, $3 drop-in fee.
