Participants will read aloud from plays, short scripts, and dramatic scenes, bringing characters and dialogue to life without the need for memorization, costumes, or staging. No prior acting or theatre experience needed. You can read, or just listen, in this friendly and supportive environment. Stay after the class to watch and participate in the Storytelling/ Open Mic night on 9/17 and 10/15. These works are presented in a series of refined indoor and outdoor spaces designed to facilitate meaningful encounters for our visitors. Enjoy lunch on your own at the cafe and bookstore. This trip involves a lot of walking, wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Price includes transportation. Th 9:30am-4:30pm 9/24 $23 163603-01 Ages 16+ Music For Dessert is a live music series meant to “sweeten” your eve- ning with a mid-week performance for in-person and livestreaming audiences. Each week is a different genre of music and with the sub- scription, you get tickets to all 7 concerts at a reduced fee. Concerts are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm (see schedule below for dates). CLASSES Grands Enchantment Art Class Ages 8+ A one-of-a-kind art experience designed especially for grandparents and their grandchildren! Get your paintbrushes ready to create an enchanting scene together while making lasting memories. This special bilingual (English–Spanish) class also introduces basic Spanish vocabulary, honoring Hispanic Heritage Month. $20 includes grandparent and grandchild and all art supplies. F 4:00-5:30pm 9/11 $20 163782-01 Life Model Sketching Class Ages 21+ Artists can further develop their skills in sketching the human form. With some guidance from instructor and professional artist Carmen Barros Howell, participants will sketch both short and long poses. Bring your own supplies; a limited number of easels will be provided, and tables/chairs will be set up for those not able to use an easel. Class is limited to 9 students. Bring an empty pizza box to take your completed painting home and wear clothes that can get paint on them. Each workshop is limited to 10 people. All materials are included in fee.
