Science: Potions & Explosions Ages 5-11 In this program, we will create “magic” potions and exciting chemical reactions that will blow your mind. Erupt a volcano, make indoor snow, grow crystals, blast a rocket into the air, and more. We will learn about the states of matter and how things change with mixtures, solutions and chemical reactions. Join us to channel your inner Professor Snape! Instructor: Baroody. W 5:30-6:30pm 9/16-11/4 $192 105248-01 MULTIAGE Kendo for Beginners Ages 11+ Kendo, the art of Japanese fencing, strives to bring one’s mind, body, and spirit together as one. Introduction to Kendo emphasizes a strong understanding of Kendo basics, including etiquette, footwork and basic strikes. This class will provide an introduction to Kendo and requires no experience. The expectation is participants move on to the regular kendo class after 1-2 semesters of the beginner’s class. Instructor: Christie and Osamu F 7:00-7:45pm 9/11-11/20 $99 105219-01 Kendo: The Way of The Sword Ages 11+ Kendo, the art of Japanese fencing, strives to bring one’s mind, body, and spirit together as one. This class is for experienced Kendo participants who want to further their skills. Gi, hakama, and shinai are required, bogu is strongly encouraged.
