BioBlitz All Ages Join us at Franklin Park for a great opportunity to be a Citizen Scientist by participating in BioBlitz. BioBlitz is a biological survey to record all the living species within a designated area. Please come dressed for the weather as this is an outside event. The event will feature multiple local rescues and shelters, vendors, dog games, a splash pad, and other fun activities. We will have the water treated to be safe for your furry friends along with some fun other surprises. Only dogs will be permitted in the water. Join us at the pond for a morning of family fun and fishing. Volunteers will be on hand to teach you how to bait, cast, and hook your catch. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone over the age of 16 years must have a valid Virginia State Freshwater fishing license to participate. Limited fishing poles and bait will be available to use.
