Lifeguarding With Oxygen Ages 15+ With successful completion of this course, students will be certified as a Lifeguard with Oxygen training through the American Red Cross. To pass the swim test you must be able to complete a 300-yard swim, tread water for 2 mins with legs only, get a 10lb brick from the bottom of at least 9ft of water and be able to swim it to the side. Attendance is mandatory and you must be on-time for all classes to meet certification requirements. Bring a swimsuit and towel to every class. STROKE CLINICS Adult Stroke Clinic

Ages 18+ These one-hour clinics will provide adult participants the opportunity to work with an instructor on their lap swimming technique for all four strokes in a class like environment. Each clinic will be dedicated to one stroke, cycling through all four over the course of the month in the following order: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Pre-requisites: participants need a working knowledge of each stroke and the ability to swim 25 yards of the stroke of the week. Course focuses on endurance swimming, deep water skills, and strength training. Participants will perform various aquatic skills, to prepare students to complete the prerequisites for classes such as Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor, SCUBA, etc. Prerequisites: Perform a feet first entry in water of 7-10 feet in depth, fully submerge and return to the surface, maintain position at the surface by treading or floating for one minute, perform a 360-degree turn, swim 25 yards with face in the water, and exit the pool without use of the ladder, ramp, or stairs.
